Resources:

Parents, I compiled a list of wonderful resources for you to view as you continue on your journey in embracing bilingualism in your children. I would like to encourage parents to read the scholarly articles relating to bilingualism. Bilingualism has so many advantages and the time to teach your children a second language is when they are young. My goal is to educate parents and the community on  what is means to be bilingual, how to encourage our children to learn a second language and most importantly  how to teach our children to master a second or even third language. Most importantly, as an educator and Speech-Language Pathologist  I want to help parents and children foster a love  for other cultures, and languages, be it Spanish, French, German, etc. There is so much research that suggests children have the capacity to learn not just two, but multiple languages. Remember Learning starts at home and kids learn best through play, so please keep it fun, engaging and encourage your child so they may have great success.

I hope the following links and resources will guide you and provide you with fun ideas and activities to help you teach your child a second or even third language.
